Celebrating National Women’s Small Business Month with EVA

October is National Women’s Small Business Month and we at Emerald Virtual Assistance are excited to celebrate small businesses owned and operated by women entrepreneurs. In fact, EVA itself is a woman-owned business, founded by Emerald Storm, an indigenous female entrepreneur who believed in herself, forged ahead, and built her own success. The road forward, however, has not been an easy one. What has she learned in her years as a small business owner?

Here is Emerald in her own words:

As a woman, I think the biggest thing is learning to take up space in the room. Speak up in meetings, advocate for yourself and trust that little voice inside when you sense something is off. As an indigenous entrepreneur, my biggest struggle has been finding community. It’s an ongoing process, and I am still actively searching for opportunities to connect.

Community and Connection

In working with several female business owners herself, Emerald has built a small community of entrepreneurial women through EVA who crave connection, growth, and success with their own companies. In celebration of National Women’s Small Business Month, EVA wishes to give a shout out to the hardworking women we know who give their all to their business day after day.
